MICHAL STRUSS

lives in Bratislava

1994-1999 Animation department at the Film and Television Faculty of Academy of Musical and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava

From the year 2000 I have been following studies at a PhD program at the Film and Television Faculty, AMDA with a thesis „Aesthetics of Animation Design in Digital Form“. In past 2 years I lectured computer animation at the Animation Department, AMDA.
In recent years I have directed TV spots for number of public service organizations (ncluding Unicef, Slovak Film Institute, Transparency International/ as well as for Advertising Agencies /including BBDO, Leo Burnett and Ogilvy&Mather).
In the year 2002 I was present as a jury-member at the international film festivals in Bologne and Tel Aviv. In these days I am working as a supervisor on the puppet animation film „Cathy & the Devils“, which is the biggest short puppet animation film production in Slovakia.
