Panorama, 2006
Series of a several dozen of pictures painted on the basis of photographs from the Silesian illustrated weekly "Panorama" chosen from among issues printed 30 years ago, in one particular year - 1976 (which is also the year of the artist's birth). Elsner's paintings reproduce the chosen photographs accurately, repeating at the same time errors occurring in print due to low quality of paper and printing techniques at the time. |
